Smooth is one of the premier rap/hip-hop artists in Christian music today, as well as being the creative force behind the popular rap group K2S (Key to Salvation). Their single, "After the Rain," from their album “Welcome to the New Era” garnered them a top 10 CHR hit! Dove Award nominations followed for both rap song of the year and rap album of the year. Every radio single K2S has released has been a top 5 rhythmic hit!

 

Smooth was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  While growing up, Smooth dealt with the struggle of living in South Central but never bowed to the pressures of the streets. At the age of 16, Smooth dedicated his life to Christ and has been living for God ever since

 

Smooth has recorded five full length albums, which have sold a combined amount of 80,000 records worldwide, recorded two music videos, performed in 46 states in the U.S., and averages about 80 concerts a year.
